We're proud to announce Duncan Rhodes Painting Academy as our first partner for Beachhead Tabletop Games Expo 2026! Duncan, Roger and the team will be bringing their Two Thin Coats paint range, running an interactive Paint 'n' Take, and the esteemed Sir Coates Masters painting competition!

The Duncan Rhodes Painting Academy has one simple aim: "To give you the skills to paint any miniature you want. We believe that anyone can paint and get a result that they are happy with. The only thing it requires is patience and someone to point you in the right direction."

Long-time Warhammer fans will recognise Duncan Rhodes as the presenter of numerous Games Workshop painting tutorial videos for a number of years. It's safe to say, Duncan was the face of Warhammer for an entire generation of miniature painters.

Since that time, Duncan with his business partner Roger and their team have gone on to create something of a miniature painting empire; with an archive of some of the best produced and highly detailed YouTube painting videos around, a subscription-based online painting academy, the popular Two Thin Coats range of acrylic paints developed in partnership with Trans Atlantis Games, and now the Sir Coates Painting Masters events. All this and Duncan Rhodes still has a reputation as one of the friendliest and most approachable people in the business.

The Duncan Rhodes Painting Academy will be at Beachhead Tabletop Gaming Expo 2026. The team will have their range of Two Thin Coats paints available for sale, along with their Paint & Take!
